This year’s Call for Papers is organized around six key-topics:
This is the first time such an event will take place in South America. Living a real economic boom, and being involved in a unique period of shift in industrial production from all sectors, Brazil is the keystone for South America’s growth. Recently promoted as the 6th economic power in the world, playing a leading role in the new millenium’s rush to gold and rare minerals rush, in the spotlight of global attention for hosting the Soccer World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016, Brazil has become in the recent years a pivotal center of the world’s growth and innovation. As an Emerging Country, it is dealing as well, on its own territory, with the challenges of Sustainability of Production and Growth.
The aim of the 2012 IPMM Conference is to develop a culture of Sustainability through Intelligence in the “mine-to-product” value chain of materials and energy resources. We are doing it from a fundamental platform, Brazil, where Intelligence and Sustainability are a daily challenge.
