SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT - VERY IMPORTANT
IRAP 2008 IS NOT GOING TO PUBLISH WITH NIMB BUT WITH RPC
We are very sorry to inform you that the organizing committee was not able to reach an agreement with the editors of Nuclear Instruments and Methods B (NIMB) for publications of papers from IRaP 2008. Therefore, we established urgent talks with the editors of Radiation Physics and Chemistry (RPC) and fortunately we finally reach an agreement.
In this new agreement the publication cost will be much higher than the traditional cost of previous IRaP meetings. Therefore we will be able to guarantee the publication of just one paper per participant after acceptation by RPC referees. For those with more than one paper per participant we are going to open the possibility of publishing them in this special issue charging the due cost established by RPC. This cost will be informed later.
The basic formatting to publish at RPC is the same of NIMB but the references are quite different. RPC use references in the text with author name(s) and year of publication, e.g. (Miller, 2008), (Lugao and Miller, 2008) or Lugao et al, 2008) and in list of references RPC give the full title of the reference. RPC always require authors to use this style, and IRaP papers have to be the same.
LIMITED AVAILABILITY OF ROOMS
It is expected about 150 participants for IRaP 2008. There is already this number of abstracts from about 130 participants. However, there are only 50 rooms guaranteed at hotel do Frade by the organization. Therefore, the reservation will be on list come first serve basis. Please remember that Hotel do Frade-Angra dos Reis is a very busy tourism spot and it is very unlike the availability at this season. In this case, the organization will support participants to look for hotels in the region, but transportation will be at their own cost.
KEYNOTE AND INVITED
Please, check the up-to-date list.
DEAD LINES
There are still a lot of requests to extend our dead line. Therefore as already changed in our homepage the deadline for abstracts submission will be postponed to June 20, 2008.
