Abstract: The pressure for efficient production is in the present difficult economical situation higher than ever. This challenges all producers of powder compacts also, to improve their production. DORST Technologies offer a mechanical powder compacting press type “TPA-S” ranging from 60 kN up to 700 kN of pressing force. The design is based on the well known standard presses type TPA and has been modified to meet highest production rates. These presses are successfully operating since years in 24/7 operation and increased the production output by the factor of 2 to 3, compared with standard presses. As an additional benefit the quality of the compacts made on high-speed presses has improved in many aspects. To handle the high number of parts coming from the machine DORST Technologies provides corresponding handling systems to ensure full automatic production.
